Leadership Development Program

The primary aim of this program is to offer hands-on training, aiding the transition of graduates or those from other industries into hospitality. Upon successful completion, participants will be poised for leadership roles. Progressive performance, alignment with Kalahari’s values, and effective assimilation into our culture can lead to a leadership role by the program’s conclusion. However, applicants should be open to potential transfers between our properties.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Leadership Development Program, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

Successful completion of Advanced Hospitality Program

Current or former Kalahari associate in good standing

Graduating in 2025 or have graduated in the previous year

Significant experience in the hospitality sector

Professionals from other fields aiming to transition to hospitality

Program Structure:

Training Plan

A comprehensive Kalahari University training plan will be presented upon joining, encompassing cultural and leadership training modules.

Job Rotation

Depending on individual competencies and discussions with leadership, participants may rotate across different job roles, understanding various departments’ workflows and networking with managers across the resort.

Management Development Training

Participants will undergo at least 40 hours of managerial skills training.

Support System

Each participant will be paired with a mentor, an experienced Kalahari leader or alumnus of our programs, to aid in their transition and integration into our culture. Additionally, a mentor will guide them in assimilating to Kalahari Resorts’ management philosophies.
