CHANGES IN GIFT CARD REGULATIONS

Effective with gift cards sold on or after August 22, 2010 there are new Federal regulations regarding the sale of gift cards. For the Kalahari Resorts gift card (also good at Trappers Turn Golf Course in Wisconsin Dells) the changes are minor. Under the old rules your Kalahari Resorts gift card expired two (2) years after purchase. Now under the new rules your gift card will not expire until five (5) years after the date of purchase or the last fund loading, whichever occurs last.

The old regulations will still apply to cards purchased before the changeover date of August 22, 2010. Other than the change in expiration dates, the old rules are the same as the new rules for Kalahari Resorts gift cards

During the changeover some cards do not have the up to date text on the back. Nonetheless cards sold on or after August 22, 2010 are subject to the new regulations.

The information on the back of the new cards will read:

Treat your Kalahari Gift Card like cash. This card will not be replaced without the original receipt. This card may not be exchanged for cash or credit or used to purchase another gift card. This card expires five (5) years after the original purchase date or last fund load, whichever occurs last. Any unused balance on the date of expiration will be forfeited in full. Purchase of this card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
