At Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, we strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable place for all of our guests. With so many offerings, and things to see at Kalahari, it can become an environment that may stimulate many senses; and at times, to a point of overload for some.
Research indicates that 1 in 20 Americans have a sensory processing disorder. It is common for those with Autism, ADHD, PTSD, Dementia, and other diagnoses to struggle with sensory processing. Our Calming Room exists to provide a safe and convenient place for our guests with sensory processing difficulties to visit with the hope that it provides a bit of comfort during your time with us.
Please limit your visit to the minimum time needed to allow everyone with a need to benefit from utilizing this space. Children may not be left alone in the Calming Room. Of course, the use of the Calming Room is limited to the use for which it is intended and none other shall be tolerated. Thank you for your understanding.
